Today I got to see an old time college friend. She was in Kyoto and I got to show her around town for the day! We had lunch with some of my friends at a nice steak restrant . After we headed to Fushimi Inari to explore the area. What a great time!

The local fish store was grilling up some Saba Shioyaki for all the costomers around town.. Saba Shioyaki is grilled Mackerel with salt. Simple, classic, and delicious.
Lots of talent in a town called Ao in Aridagawa Wakayama. Onece a year every one cames together for a night of fun and entertainment!

Today was the Opening Ceremony for Mt Oishi Kogen. It was a nice warm day to be out looking over Wakayama. Definitely come check out the view.

Today I got to go to the Wakayama Magical Music Tour at Wakayama Castle. This event is an annual event that brings every one together to injoy music in the heart of Wakayama. There was music of every genre playing at the many stages throughout Wakayama Castle Park. I had a great time and I would recomend this event to everyone. Lots of local music to get your Wakayama buzz on!

Today I got to meet our guests from Mexico city. They spent the day in Koyasan and after they came to Shimizu for a nice relaxing stay. First we stopped by Shimizu Onsen. After we had dinner in a traditional Japanese house all sitting around the irori (traditional Japanese sunken hearth) sipping on Wakayama sake and enjoing great local cuisine.
